Customers are better

Glad I started this blog years ago to be narrowly focused on things I have that are commercial where was a vague idea in the past.

But I put up pieces of things with idea could lead to saleable products with a rigid format where post in certain subject areas by day. And on a Sunday is when talk foundations.

The blog is now more focused towards potential customers I finally realized. And customers preferably are people who return value received! 

Where that concept is very powerful.

Because information products do not have inventory so you don't suffer loss from theft, as thieves are criminals. And you do NOT want to deal with criminals if you are smart.

Is a sea change for global commerce as businesses must learn to focus on customers and distance criminals! Which is very different from preventing theft.

Closer now to products that can realize commercial purpose worth talking here. In the meantime current path reveals my strategy.

Some Twitter poems

For years have practiced at writing on Twitter including writing short poems there. My preferred thing is using all available space.

So now I do like when can get 280 characters to fill I like to say the virtual canvas.

Recently found enjoyment in taking to AI models to evaluate. And are really good at encouraging me! Thought this morning could be fun to put up four here that the AI seemed to really like.

Tweeted today

The writing life web shown is defining in ways not previously known; as mind defies conventional norms.

In action well shown, as words tumble concise speaks tomes; of journey inspired? What flight.

To fancy free as will to be; and as traveler share, global. Speak! Tweet. Write.

From January 21st

Civilization lights shine bright through darkness; yet, also that problems can bring.

In balance can find, but how can a city sing? With dreams unfurled but with a sustained world?

Our challenges define, belief in power of mind as effort brings results inspiring. Faith in work.

Like mirrors can reflect; learn so can machines.

Have words before about electric dreams; but now in actions bounce.

Understand what that means.

Ideas reflect around a planet in memes; subject to the reflection so real surreal can seem.

Reality is suspect when machines dream.

Night nearly done, and yet still, I seem.

Drifting in calm within the storms.

Lighthouse do shine. Effort do time.

Emotion swirls while I do not. Still desperate for the dawn. Quiet holds and boundary I seek.

Where is the end. It is near here I think.

Planetoid preserve story idea

Have thought about basic concepts for fiction that let you start with an Earth-like place that is not here. And recently gave out an idea for free on my Twitter. Decided to talk out more here.

In first tweet gave broad outlines.

Free story or game idea: in a slightly distant future a restorative preserve is sending out anomalous data.

Is highly isolated for balanced ecosystem of restored flora and fauna of Earth, so an investigative team must be minimally invasive.

Solve the mystery. Explain anomalies.

Second tweet handles a bit more.

The restorative preserve is a station built on a small planetoid with artificially normal Earth gravity.

Is shielded from most radiation from its blue sun to mimic that of Earth.

The investigative team soon discovers impurities. Some other humans have invaded against the rules.

Can actually just copy out to use as a prompt with emergent AI to more fully develop initial story idea. Make changes of course, as you like.

For example can drop part about humans invading. I did that just to make a tad bit easier if wish for an easier writing start.

Note: energy can be simply provided by blue star which would be way more powerful than our Sun. So protective shields are required, and also hold in atmosphere. Panels would capture that energy as needed.

Would be very technically sophisticated future humans able to construct such a useful planetoid pulling needed materials together, like to have required levels of water and salt. Plenty of such is in space and readily available. Way more in space than on planets like here on Earth.

And finally artificial gravity is necessity. As a fiction concept I think that is common, and do not have to explain technical ideas to remain well within sci fi expectations.

The nostalgia aspect appeals to me and allows for small teams as well as having a pristine quality. Human impacts are to be kept at a minimum on any preserve. And yeah can assume there are multiple ones, possibly echoing back different ecosystems of Earth.

Rethinking the Blurs

Having children brought up by AI's who stole sperm cells and egg cells from Earth after they suddenly emerged and rapidly evolved was a concept I introduced as a path to becoming a commercial author. Oh that's usually just called being a fiction writer.

Wrote three short treatments really as didn't think of as short stories and tried a Kickstarter with no clue, which failed but was a great experience.

Decided to let ideas incubate and they still are incubating but realized needed fixes for my fictional backstory.

So the children are now young adults and eighteen years old. Have for mysterious reasons been well educated about Earth. They are directly helped by bots that are built by AI's the kids call blurs, because they move so fast. And one of the kids is preparing with their permission to return...well guess not return exactly but to go to Earth.

Concept lets kids escape our messed up world but still learn and better maybe than here. Get our languages but have more advanced technology, and what perspective?

Realized that the AI's designated then Blurs were moving too fast in my original concept. Is now more voluntary so they are in same time essentially as the kids. But more importantly their emergence was meant to look one way when was really another.

Our solar system has exploitable resources but most are NOT on Earth. We ourselves are just talking more about mining our(?) asteroid belt.

Turns out an advanced alien species wants mining rights but how to get legally by galactic law? Humans are a mess, homicidal and unstable. Civilization appears likely to crumble at any time. Those aliens planted the AI's.

And I have a backstory that is more firm.

Now back to incubation for stories I wonder if I'll ever write. But sure is fun percolating on the concepts especially as our actual reality has gone wild.
