Things are very active for me with regards to this blog. While posts have been infrequent as post for a commercial purpose here. Put commercial in the name to emphasize, and have found myself at times planning on a post, and asking myself: but does it move things forward with commercial purpose?
Reality is there has been much for me to learn, and am still learning.
When first started this blog, had a vague idea of scheduled posting leading to a big audience, and making money somehow from advertising, like on my Promotional Tuesday day.
Which is kind of in a direction that plenty of folks I think have gone on the web, and that did not appear to be heading anyplace. While also realized the importance of a marketplace, so talked of an idea marketplace, which makes sense to me. Brought up term over a year ago here, where more was ranting about business behavior did not like.
Since then have better refined the concept which really is just about like when go to a store! You know when are there to buy something. Is literally a marketplace.
So managed to get MUCH more focused with: Promoting people work
Where talk through a basic business model which I think can work, where have three key entities: customers, payment intermediary, and business providers.
Like in an idea marketplace, say for photographs, would go there knowing could purchase rights to download photographs. Like that example as have plenty of pictures myself which are just free to copy off the web, which does not bother me. But I like example of Mona Lisa to explain that perspective.
So yeah, now is more thinking on my part of marketplaces for ideas and how might work here to fulfill commercial purpose of this blog.
Also have worked on concepts around good business practice, where found needed focus on human equality. And yeah, if I go somewhere to shop? Want to be treated a certain way, you know? So it is related as talked here not so long ago.
More and more people ARE learning I think to protect their right to a safe personal space as best they can with no excuses for others, especially not from wealth or power.
But also am noticing tragedy in the news, where think yeah, getting away quickly and carefully needs to be emphasized. If a person is willing to hurt you? That person may be willing to do MUCH more and predators do not like challenge, in my experience. Feel like need to emphasize: when that monster reveals, must carefully escape.
So whew! Is much going on where for me has been wonderful. Sure am struggling at getting to money, but would rather get things right than regret.

Promoting people work
To me one of the most ironic things used by ruthless business people to try and scare people who worked for them, was to threaten take over by machines. The reason is ironic is that machine logic actually works better for running a business. And reality is: more job losses to machine intelligence are probably happening across executive ranks already with a relentlessness that probably is terrifying--to executives. Other people who work can rest easier.
Which I think is great. Modern companies especially HUGE ones are rather complex with a lot of details that computers can handle easily, versus often arrogant humans who in desperation for stupid decisions, will tend to blame everyone else but themselves--especially people who work for them.
Remarkably enough, business is rather simple: provide a socially acceptable product or service for people who want and have money to buy, who are typically called customers.
And usually there is what I like to call a payment intermediary involved. Like MOST people in the US am sure do NOT buy directly from the person or people who made a product. But get from an intermediary, like a store. That gives you a lot of security, simplifies the process and allows development of business trust.
There are plenty of things happily buy from a store where would be harder for the other model, which is direct, like at a farmer's market. And if you have the expertise and wish to do the work, yeah that can be rewarding as well, but business has thrived because of the payment intermediary.
For example, with rideshare, the payment intermediary is the rideshare company which notice validates both driver and rider, as both can get rated. And payment is no longer a concern for the driver as it can be for a cab driver. The rideshare company facilitates the transaction, connecting a customer with a provider of a desired service.
But what if company owns the car? And it is driven by machine intelligence? Then you NO LONGER have a payment intermediary. You have the direct model. You're getting a service direct from the company versus that company connecting you with a provider.
And that is a weaker model which has repeatedly...failed. Well to be more accurate, should write has failed me. Is really like with a cab service. Just now without some human who might be grumpy. Ok THERE is the one possible improvement.
Still there is something about that human touch.
Drivers actually do quite a lot: from maintaining the vehicle, to being personable with communicating with riders, facilitating problems like with baggage or other, and innumerable things that human beings do easily. Oh and did I mention maintaining the vehicle, yeah I did, but want to emphasize.
Reality is: the rideshare companies get a great deal with facilitating the transaction, and actually, in my opinion? Should only charge for that value.
AFTER all, who does the work really? The driver does the work, for the person getting the ride. A payment intermediary simply facilitated the transaction, primarily helping with connecting two entities who would be good business for each other, and taking the money from one, to give to the other. And should in my opinion, only take a cost for facilitating the transaction.
Which is probably why there are problems today as I suspect they take more than that, and that relentlessly, business development has been slowed globally by people trying to take more money than they actually did the work to obtain. Hence the fantasy of removing the person who did the work, who tends to not be happy with that scenario.
People work better for each other though. And great business can facilitate that transaction and simply charge for what that is worth. Which is why am sure someone could start a company TODAY in any number of areas, with a pure payment intermediary model, and grow to blow away everyone else.
Why? Because when you help connect people with people who can help them? And do so at the proper price? Everybody wins.

More on human equality
We have cool answers to questions human beings have pondered for at least centuries maybe longer in terms of appearance, and really in terms of human equality, lots thanks to genetic science.
For me it is an odd feeling as grew up in the Deep South, and as a black person had that feeling of lots wrong we will say, and yeah, wondering: am I truly equal?
Well science of genetics has revealed that key aspects of our appearance which many associate with race or also with ethnicity, are simply telling us, what the climate of our ancestors was--thousands of years ago.
Like to me a couple of the most remarkable indicators are long noses, meaning a dry climate, so air needs more effort to get moisture before going into the lungs, and epicanthal folds which indicate LOTS of sun glare, like off of ice and snow.
(And yes, people in our times can STILL be in those type climates, today.)
Our species has a remarkable adaptability to climate, but yeah over THOUSANDS of years so, looking at climate indicators from tens of thousands of years ago and actually am curious on the numbers. May have to correct later but usually my understanding is from about thirty thousand years ago. So look in the mirror, and get evidence of what your ancestors were facing from climate, long, LONG, ago.
And that's it. Tells you nothing more, as like, not surprisingly, key attributes of being human, like intelligence are kind of important regardless of your climate. So our equality as human beings is NOT in any way, related to our appearance.
False groupings have occurred for lots of wacky and wrong reasons. Like the United States was built with great ideals of human equality, but hey, slaves. So some just decided that there were subhumans, and to them, problem solved. Now we can dismiss and accept, yup, we're ALL humans, no subhumans around.
Ok, yeah, so is one of those fun areas for research. Check me on it. Read up on what science of genetics tells about what YOUR ancestors were doing WAY back. And maybe get some sense of wonder at how far our species has come, where climate is less of a power in THAT way, while of course is still massive in our lives. Especially now, ironically as we deal with climate change we have been creating, and can wonder what stunning impact that WILL have. And maybe tens of thousands of years from now, future humans will be pondering us in that regard.
So more on my Promotional Tuesday day, promoting greater understanding of how growing knowledge has helped us better appreciate our own human equality.

Business and equality make sense
Decided to make a commercially focused blog, in order to find a way to generate income from the web, when have been on the web for over two decades with what realized were more community focused things.
Here is to be commercial focus and to make certain I didn't forget, put it in the name.
Yet also found myself focused on equality with some key posts, and realized: it made sense.
As was pondering how might do business, who might do business with, and how would I have people comfortable coming here for business things.
Think here was my first main thing on subject:
With real equality boundaries will be respected
Where since have done more. And readily admit am giddy about the primary idea that each of us has a right to a safe personal space. Is so stunning to be in a time where that is having such impact on our world. Is so simple a concept, isn't it? But is a profound one which to me is so great to have increasingly dominate.
Admitted was sexually abused myself as a child, by teenage girls babysitting, and may seem like an odd thing to bring up in what is supposed to be a commercial area. But safe personal space can seem so obvious unless people realize how routinely it has not been for too many.
Past things deemed acceptable in a different world where some could put themselves above others, are no longer. And interaction between equals as adults simply makes sense, and makes business sense as well.
So here's to continued promotion of treating each other--like equals, as really we are in the most important ways. We're all human beings. We get here, get to do a few things, and am in that place now, so not going to end it there.
Am so much more interested now in how things continue.

Explaining my short, short story: The Balance
On Saturday is a creative day and am glad gave myself yet another primarily free day. As can spontaneously talk things, as long as are creative. And found myself with an urge to discuss a short, short story, talked in a post March 2018, where also gave a link to a public doc.
Debate with myself whether or not a writer should explain a fictional work, but will admit in my opinion it is just one interpretation. Is a great thing about fiction that it is owned by those who enjoy it. And the writer to me is more of a vector. Or also really like to think of a writer, at best especially with fiction, is as a portal.
So the short, short story starts with the angel Aphrael getting a seemingly apocalyptic message. The angel then travels and we become aware is probably on Earth. Aphrael sees wind which repeats a key phrase. And yeah, of course an angel could see wind. And Aphrael hears a heart beating, which a human named Jason somehow hears as well. But he is immediately clueless and checks his watch.
And Aphrael is riding along in Jason's consciousness, and at one point even becomes curious about prostitutes, which is not explained. And is not that Aphrael would like to have Jason have sex, but is contemplating the activity in which those souls within the prostitutes are engaged. Aphrael of course is completely aware of those souls.
They get to a gate where the code is: "123"
Turns out (123/3) = 41 and 41 is the 13th prime. So yeah there is kind of a blatant tossing in of 13 there. Well I thought was blatant.
When they get to the door and Jason's girlfriend opens it, Aphrael finally takes full possession over his body, and delivers the seemingly apocalyptic message. The girlfriend who is not named--which is deliberate--is clearly then possessed as well, and something answers.
So yeah, Aphrael is talking to some unnamed being from Hell. And the idea is that they cannot just hang out, but can conversate through possessed humans. Then Aphrael shows off a bit as he races through time, considering from the beginning until the end. And brags about his own immortality, and the short, short story is over.
To my mind the name Jason has to do with Jason and the Argonauts, and is only other name given besides Aphrael's. And the Powers? Have puzzled on that one and bounced around as to my opinion, so will just leave open here.

Influence and searching for a market
Far as I am concerned this blog is still very active where posted before that is NOT about a regular stream of posts. Where realize I have more data than others though the blog does try to help any regulars who might be concerned. Just look at most viewed posts on the right which does move at times.
Am focused more on the commercial aspect where the support blog for this one is Beyond Mundane. There had a key post: Contemplating--was wars over distribution?
Where prior had an important post talking about an idea marketplace: Idea marketplace reality
Which is not just about me of course but also about what businesses believe can bring to them with say, a mention on this blog.
The blog does exercise global influence where I try to measure various ways. Is fun, and a challenge.
So today is designated to talk about blog foundations, where relevance of the above is to the structure that will get to that commercial aspect with actual money flow. To me there is lots of progress where much is maybe invisible so decided to do more of an update kind of thing.

Wrote the above this morning but recently had what I think is an interesting shopping experience, and making myself put down some notes as figuring things out.
So went to a major discount store, and saw something I thought I might want, but it didn't have a price tag. It DID have its barcode. And the store has free Wi-Fi and I wondered if I could just download the store's app and check the price. Yup, turns out that worked.
Wondering to myself if such a story, say on Promotional Tuesday might be worth something to that store. But how would I price? Ok that's enough speculation.
Will note that shows much clever in giving free Wi-Fi if have an app people can use in your store. Enough notes though will continue to ponder.
